Career
Highlights of
EUGENE
E. "TIM" SCOTT, JR.
Media pioneer
was the best way to describe Timothy Scott whose career spanned
the
electronic spectrum from the Golden Days of TV, through the birth
of Cable Television and interactive home shopping, to the early
stages of the optical laser disc and into the distribution of a
new TV production tool for broadband content development.

Timothy Scott
started his career as the executive-in-charge -of-production on
classic television programs such as Gunsmoke, Maverick, The Andy
Griffith Show, G.E. Theater and many more in the 50's and 60's.
He was responsible for advertising and television production for
Fortune 500 companies, Procter and Gamble, General Foods and General
Electric.

In the 60's
and 70's Scott Co-Founded Qualis Productions where he developed
and/or produced in partnership with Fox, MGM, private investors
and other production companies network series, specials and pilots
including: The Monroes, The International World of Magic (Hosted
by David Niven and Tony Randall), McMasters of Sweetwater (Starring
Jack Cassidy), Black Omnibus (Starring James Earl Jones), Election
72: 18 and Over, and The All Star Game Show.

Scott's life
long interest in leading edge technology led him to become involved
with the inventors of the optical laser disc developing the early
marketing strategy. He negotiated the sale of optical laser technology
to MCA. During this same period of time, Scott became involved with
the start-up of Cable Television obtaining an early on franchise
for Dekalb, GA.

The late 1970's
found Scott pioneering the first US interactive concept, which later
evolved into the Home Shopping Network. He also consulted and co-produced
for cable networks and advertising agencies.

In the 80's,
he developed over forty projects for network and theatrical distribution
while with TVL Production, a subsidiary of National TV Log, Inc.
|
|
When consumer
electronics became its' own industry in the late 80's, Scott conceived,
designed, obtained financing and operated a VCR camera rental company
set up as a franchise concept that rented video camcorders and accessories
to the general public.

Scott's career
followed a different trail in the 90's as he branched out into cycling
as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Cycle League
International where he designed a fast-paced race format compatible
with TV and he developed and implemented a franchise and merchandising
program.

Scott was the
National Sales Manager for a revolutionary new TV production tool
called the PixBox, which packs the essential functions of a TV Remote
Truck into a suitcase.

| Scott attended
Dartmouth College and received his BA in Motion Pictures from the
University of California at Los Angeles. He was a U-S Navy combat
cameraman in Korea. |
